The CU boasts of a constitution that was last amended in 1995. It grants the CU its status in the university.

Currently, the union owns a set of music instruments and machines. Some of which were bought from offertory whole others were donations and love offerings from individuals/organizations outside the union. Instruments include an amplifier, speakers, microphones and their stands, keyboard and a rhythm guitar. Sometimes, the CU has had to hire out these machines in order to raise funds for missions and other activities.

Missions Programme

Every semester break, members of the CU go out to missions beyond the campus to different regions of the country. In these missions they preach the gospel through one-one ministry, open crusades, seminars, community initiatives like distributing medicines and several other activities. Very often after these missions, thousands of people commit their lives to Jesus Christ; many others are healed or receive their miracles in one way or another. In fact, missioners themselves don’t come back the same.

However, you realize that this programme requires an input of funds and other material assistance often in form of transport, accommodation in the regions where the missioners camp, literature for the new believers especially Bibles, tracts etc. The CU has been realizing the funds needed from the students themselves, ancestors of the union, and any other interested parties/organizations. Nonetheless, there always arise handicaps as a result of raising insufficient funds and as such there is a great need for more partners in this ministry. This is a very pressing need indeed; for the harvest is ready.

There’s a need to acquire/purchase a truck/bus to facilitate the transportation during the missions and any other outside-campus CU activities.

Apart from the funds issue, this ministry also requires great input in prayer and fasting because the regions we go to are not just ‘desert’ regions; they are inhabited by territorial spirits and many other demons that have kept people in bondage. We would appreciate if you took time to pray for the cause of the missions programme.
